Maryland  Candidate, Wayne Smith, for Delegate in District 32

Welcome to our website.  I appreciate your interest in our campaign, guiding principles and platform stances.  Every election is significant in the lives of our community and is an opportunity to elect those who stand for principled government, principled policies and placing people's needs at the core of those policies.

Please check out our event page for our first event of the 2010 campaign, our brunch fundraiser on 10/20/07.

I want to thank the 13,000 voters who placed their confidence in us on November 7, 2006.  We will strive to continue to inspire your confidence over the next 3 years as we prepare for 2010.

The 2006 General Assembly was called "dysfunctional" and "arrogant"(The Washington Post, April 5, 2006), and "the worst state legislature in America" (The Wall Street Journal, Feb. 9, 2006).  The rulings by the Democratic appointed Maryland Court of Appeals on early voting and on the Public Service Commission prove that the majority of current legislators have either no regard for or no understanding of the Maryland Constitution.

As one of six senior directors at Johns Hopkins, we help our physicians to continue to be the "Best of the Best". I want to use my leadership skills, administrative skills and negotiation skills to help the General Assembly become the "Best of the Best" instead of their current reputation.

Please use this website to find detailed information on my policies and stands, to contact me with questions, to volunteer, to see our scheduled events and photos from previous events, or to contribute to the campaign.

The Endorsements page lists which organizations, so far, have endorsed me for the House of Delegates in the 2006 election.  By clicking on each organization's name, you can link directly to their website.

Thank you.

Wayne Smith
