| Wayne Smith for Delegate in District 32
Welcome to our website. I appreciate your interest in our campaign, guiding principles and platform stances. Every election is significant in the lives of our community and is an opportunity to elect those who stand for principled government, principled policies and placing people's needs at the core of those policies.
I am running again for state delegate in 2010.
With your support, I ran for public office in 2006 and received over 13,000 votes of confidence from our fellow citizens. I was disappointed not to win but am eagerly looking forward to winning in 2010.
I am running to represent you, your family, and your friends as an independent voice for District 32 who will work hard to make your views known in Annapolis. I will bring vocational, educational, and professional diversity to the Assembly. I will focus on doing the right thing the right way for the right reasons. Like you, I value traditional family values, lower taxes, smaller government, and protecting and encouraging small businesses in our District.
Our General Assembly have been called "dysfunctional" and "arrogant"(The Washington Post, April 5, 2006), and "the worst state legislature in America" (The Wall Street Journal, Feb. 9, 2006).
As one of six senior directors at Johns Hopkins, we help our physicians to continue to be the "Best of the Best". I want to use my leadership skills, administrative skills and negotiation skills to help the General Assembly become the "Best of the Best" instead of their current reputation.
Please use this website to find detailed information on my policies and stands, to contact me with questions, to volunteer, to see our scheduled events and photos from previous events, or to contribute to the campaign.
Thank you.
Wayne Smith
