About Patrick

Patrick resides in the City of Frederick with his wife, Priscilla, and their daughter, Julia. Patrick was born in Maryland and has been a resident of Frederick since the age of four.

 

Family

 

Patrick comes from a family dedicated to public service. His father, Larry Hogan, is a former U.S. Congressman and Prince George’s County Executive. His mother is a former Frederick County Commissioner. He has four brothers and one sister: Larry, Jr., Terry, Matt, Mike, and Tim. His brother Larry, Jr., serves in Governor Ehrlich’s cabinet.

 

Education

 

Patrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park.

 

Experience

 

Patrick is a licensed real estate agent and works with his brothers at the Hogan Group of Companies.  Before getting his real estate license, Patrick worked as a marketing assistant at a local publishing company. While in college, he got his first taste of the legislative process by working as an aide in the Maryland State Senate. During high school, Patrick started his first job working at Jerry’s Subs & Pizza where he met his future wife, Priscilla.

 

In the Legislature

 

Since being elected to represent District 3A in 2002, Patrick has earned the respect of his colleagues in the legislature by working cooperatively with Democrats and Republicans to get things done for Frederick County and the rest of Maryland. 

 

He is a member of the following committees:

He was appointed by the Speaker of the House to serve on the Maryland Task Force on Business-Owner Compensation in Condemnation Proceedings.

 

He is also a member of the Maryland Rural Caucus, the Maryland Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, and the Maryland Veterans Caucus.
