"The most important function of Cecil County government is to ensure the safety of county citizens.  My brother-in-law is a police officer and I can appreciate the difficult circumstances that our law enforcement officers face each and everyday.  To this end I will work with our local law enforcement personnel to make sure we are doing everything possible to keep everyone safe."

-Prevent Gang Activity

“While traveling the county and speaking with citizens I hear an increasing concern over gang problems in schools and in our local communities.  Our county government, the Sheriff’s department, and the school system should come together to evaluate this community concern.  We need to implement comprehensive preventative measures that will eliminate any current or future influxes of gang activity in our public school system as well as the broader communities in the area.  Whether this means creating a law enforcement task force or simply more departmental cooperation I will make this a priority at the Commissioners’ office.”
