“As a Commissioner my most direct responsibility related to education is to allocate funding to our public school system.  More and more often our county government is charged with an increased funding responsibility for our public schools.  I will always do my part to fully equip our teachers and students with the resources they need to succeed.  I believe that teachers, students, and parents are the building blocks of a successful educational experience.  We must do as much as possible through working with the School Board and the Superintendent to strengthen the education system, to support our teachers, and to satisfy our parents and students.  We must always work to put the maximum amount of money and resources in the classroom."
