Dear Fellow Conservative,

My name is Tom Corbett and I’ve lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland since 1989. While living on the Shore, I’ve graduated from Salisbury State University with a degree in social work.  I’ve been employed in the health care field since graduating from SSU in 1993.

I have been interested in politics, recognizing the privilege I have been given to have a voice with the governing of the city, county, state, and country that I live in.  As I have become more familiar with politics, particularly those in Maryland and Dorchester County, I have noticed the tendency of government to increase in size, programs, and power.  I have seen corruption, government waste and elected officials, who feed the programs, businesses and people who will get them reelected.

As I have searched for a party and elected officials, who will give me, a citizen of Dorchester County Maryland, I’ve come to several conclusions. 1) It is a conservative viewpoint and ideology that will best represent my interests in both Washington, Maryland and Dorchester County.  2) Government spending, social programs and special interests must be reined in. 3) I have a choice of who represents me at all levels of government,  as long as I not only vote but take an active role, supporting my candidates and conservative beliefs and ideology.

I have had opportunity to meet with many of the people who feel that there is no opportunity to support candidates with conservative ideals and ideologies.  They feel that there are no opportunities to become involved with other conservatives.

In MY search, I have had opportunity to meet with fellow conservatives in Dorchester County and to share my own ideals and beliefs.  That is why I am now taking the opportunity to tell others of the conservatives in Dorchester County who wish to make a difference.

A chance to make a difference in government exists. It you, as many others, wish to take opportunity to have your voice heard in local and federal government decisions, including how your money is spent, please contact us.

Conservatives have been giving up, feeling as though they can’t win in Maryland. Liberal ideals, opinions and ideologies have overwhelmed many of us. Maryland is now 2 billion dollars in debt following a billion dollar surplus with the previous governor. Our taxes are being raised and additional fees are being charged for electricity, the EZ pass, and cigarettes.  This is just the beginning of what we will pay in order to increase the size and power of government while releasing our own liberties and freedom.

Doing nothing while believing things will change is the definition of insanity. We must do something in order to reign in government, its countless programs and its wasteful spending of our money.

I urge you to take the first step toward change before it’s too late to make one.  Please visit our website, leave me your contact info and be prepared to become part of real change that we as Conservatives, Marylanders and Americans can truly believe in.

Sincerely,

Thomas Corbett
